Other than the logos, one of the most important design elements is the right angled rectangle, either straight or at a 15 degree angle. The rectangle can reach out of the design area but the visible corner must lie on the base grid. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
There can be more than one rectangle on a surface. The rectangle can be coloured or a cropped photo. There can be rectangles at 0, 15 and -15 degree angles on the same page. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

The base grid is made up of a grid of squares with sides of equal length. The height of one square is 16 times smaller than the shorter side of the surface it\u2019s on. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The base grid can be created for any aspect ratio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The squares don\u2019t have to fit perfectly along the longer side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For printed materials, the base grid should be aligned with the upper edge, and for online materials the base grid starts from the centre of the image.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
